Quad hifi .CD 66 vintage compact disc player.. I have owned for many years now.Condition pretty fair ,works perfectly as it always has, phono outputs have been renewed, mark on the top cover, none on the facia or sides,with remote,no original packaging, but will be well packaged. Not that I have fallen out of love with the cd 66, just i have another one,the most reliable audio equipment ever had.

Overtime, at first the CD tray started to be reluctant and so the CD Tray panel came off - to employ finger assistance. Then the display would only work randomly before (after a year) giving up the ghost at the same moment the remote would no longer chat to it (are they related, perhaps). So then we would play entire CDs on assisting the tray closure. It is now time to retire this wonderful workhorse into the hands of someone who is happy (anf competent - not I, Im afraid) to replace the display (readily available, I believe) and grease the tray mechanism (say a wee tube of grease for this very purpose it said, here on eBay). Given that it is an original QUAD unit ....... after maintenance and repair, be prepared to expect a lifetime of astounding performance quality. This much loved and prized QUAD CD66 is from a (now retired) musicologist and, as with all items from this source, has been stored and maintained in a smoke & pet free environment. So do keep a wary eye out as there are many more such gems to be listed here.....
