ROGERS LS3/5a 15 ohms. Conçue en 75 par la BBC,cette petite enceinte mythique, souvent surnommée la boite à chaussures offre une musicalité rarement atteinte. Certes elle a quelques faiblesses, grave limité, faible rendement mais elle reste une vraie référence pour les audiophiles. On reconnaît généralement à la Ls3/5a une reproduction très détaillée et une grande transparence (à savoir très peu de distorsions et de vibrations parasites). On peut alors parler de précision, de neutralité,de grande finesse de reproduction. Le registre médium et la reproduction des voix sont particulièrement exceptionnels ! Celles-ci font partie des premières construites (env. 1977) ce qui explique lébénisterie légèrement décolorée (voir photos) Elles ont leur âge mais sont très bien conservées malgré quelques légers défauts daspect, et sonnent parfaitement!
