(Serial N0# 25750) Good cosmetic condition (even for its age), I have tried tophotograph any marks on the casework Recently tested and working (sounds great) Only one power amp is needed (with a pre-amp to operate instereo) but please see note below re bridging option. Notethese power amps (2 for sale) perform well above their price point. They(the pair) were previously paired with Michell and later Naim pre Amps (costing many £000’s) And did not embarrass themselves. (Replacement Power Amplification costme £4k+) Note on Bridging switch /option. Please note that the original bridgefacility (switching each stereo power amp to a more powerful mono-block) wasremoved many years ago.Oneof the power amps - the bridging switch started to fail, so the solution was notto replace the failed switch, but to remove the switch completely.Thisroute was taken because the switch was low quality compared to the amps other internals. So was suggested by the repairer as not onlyan easy fix, but also an upgrade.Highquality wire “bypass links” now replace the switch – and this did improve the sound quality of both RB850’s(both were done). Both Power Amp’s had the samemodification done, so can and were used as 2 x Stereo pair as a Bi-Amp’d set up.
