This unit will turn on, it will play both sides of the disc, and all the trick play features such as track selection work. The reason this unit is listed For Parts Not Working is that while playing the discs the unit would seemingly at random stop playing the music and the tonearm would return to the starting position. When this unit came into my possession I assumed the issue was merely that the belt for the tonearm was worn out. So I replaced it the belt yet the issue persisted. Upon further investigation it turns out the unit would power down for a fraction of a seconds, causing the tonearm to reset. The root cause of this units trouble appears to be the power button. If you push the power button all the way in a hold it in place with a paper weight, the unit operates as its supposed to and plays both sides of the disc without error. Unfortunately for me I do not posses the skills necessary to repair the power button nor do I know anyone close by who does. If you have any rudimentary experience repairing vintage electronics or know someone who does Id imagine it would be a simple fix to this obscure yet sought-after piece of retro audio equipment.
