I doubt you’ve seen a Sansui CA-F1 like this one. Honestly, this is the first time Ive seen one that is so beautiful and has all the extra content/accessories! All accessories are included, including the original box, warranty card, manual (copy), rack mount adapter, mounting bolts, and special tools! This CA-F1 looks like it was stored as part of a collection, not used. It sounds great and is the perfect match for Sansui power amps from the 1970s and 80s like the BA-F1, BA-2000, BA-3000, etc. The green power light works when the preamp powers up, all switches and controls work as they should with no extraneous noise. I will package it extremely well-protected (see my feedback as a seller) so it arrives to you safely. Note: I have an original wood case listed separately, willing to discuss package pricing if you’re interested. This is a Sansui CA-F1 preamplifier. It sounds great and is the perfect match for Sansui power amps from the 1970s and 80s like the BA-F1, BA-2000, BA-3000, etc. The green power light works when the amp powers up, all switches and controls work as they should with no extraneous noise. When I come across these, they usually have scratches on their tops from previous owners placing equipment on top of them. However, the top on this one is pretty clean. Speaking of tops: the Soundcrafstmen amp the CA-F1 is sitting on is shallow, only 11” deep, so the Sansui hangs off the back a few inches (it sits comfortably atop a normal-sized amp). I will package it extremely well-protected (see my feedback as a seller) so it arrives to you safely. Sansui CA-F1 Stereo Pre Amplifier pre amp, 1979, 120v. I bought this pre amp about ten years ago to use temporarily in my mancave while my CA-3000 pre amp was being restored, but I liked this CA-F1 pre amp enough that I kept it even after my other amp returned from the tech. So I then used this CA-F1 in my den along with a Sansui BA-3000 power amp driving Sony tower speakers They sound great together. I retired last year and moved to The Land of Enchantment, to a smaller home and therefore dont have the space anymore for all the hifi equipment Ive accumulated over the years. This preamp is very heavy for a preamp. It sounds great and is the perfect match for Sansui power amps from the 1970s and 80s like the BA-F1, BA-2000, BA-3000, etc. The green power light works when the amp powers up, all switches and controls work as they should with no extraneous noise. I cleaned all switches and pots and controls with Deoxit a couple years ago and it has never given me any problems. I bought this pre amp about ten years ago to use temporarily in my mancave while my CA-3000 pre amp was being restored, but I liked this CA-F1 pre amp enough that I kept it even after my other amp returned from the tech. I retired last year and moved to The Land of Enchantment, to a smaller home and therefore dont have the space anymore for all the hifi equipment Ive accumulated over the years. This preamp is very heavy for a preamp. It sounds great and is the perfect match for Sansui power amps from the 1970s and 80s like the BA-F1, BA-2000, BA-3000, etc. The green power light works when the amp powers up, all switches and controls work as they should with no extraneous noise. I cleaned all switches and pots and controls with Deoxit a couple years ago and it has never given me any problems.
