Sharp GF-777 Ghettoblaster Im guessing you know what youre looking at here so I wont waffle on about its size and features etc. Ive had this for a few years and its really only been a display item. Both radio and cassette functions work well and pack a very, very meaty punch. I also used to use the line-in for my iPod many moons ago. Also the cosmetic condition is pretty good. It could use a good dust but apart from the normal cluster of small marks and stains everything seems to be in order. Good bits1. Works well in radio mode with a nice even signal through both channles2. All speakers are clean and free of any damage. These are the original speakers by the way.3. All switches, knobs, buttons etc are all present and correct (with the excepetion of number one bellow).4. Both cassette doors open smoothly.5. Antennas are straight, complete and corrosion free. 6. Cosmetically very tidy indeed. The included original grills fix on nicely and are pretty clean and dent free.7. Clear persepx panel is clean, 8. Casing could use a wipe but its actually in very nice shape. Known issues1. The 1/2 tape operation switch has snapped off. I still have the switch cover (included) and its in perfect condition but there isnt enough of the metal switch lever petruding out to fix it on. Whether this is because its snapped or the mechanism has come away inside is an unknown. Theres just enough for you to operate the switch with your fingers and I can confirm the switch works but it will need attention. 2. Deck 1 has damaged sprockets. For the uninitiated the sprockets are the two bits that turn. As per all cassette decks theres a take-up pulley and a supply pulley. For some reason the take-up pulley (the one on the right) has removed itself from the steel central axle. I have the parts for this inc spring etc but they just wont stay on. Sadly the supply pulley (the one on the left) has suffered the same fate but I no longer have the parts for this side. 3. Apart from the above missing sprocket parts both decks seem to work and Play/FF/RW all work on both decks. Deck 2 manages to play cassettes reasonably well but assume a belt change is required as there is noticable W&F. Also azymuth will need adjusting. I have a very nice box ready for this unit. Ive sent many boomboxes in the post and Id like to think I know how to pack them well. We live in Exeter and obviously collection is welcome if youre close otheriwse Im more than happy to drop in the post. I dont know the exct price but if its OK can we say £30 and Ill refund if any less. On 16-Jun-23 at 18:15:04 BST, seller added the following information: Please note - I have now found all the missing pieces for the damaged sprockets (see new pic).  From what I can tell all that seems to be wrong is that they are both missing the surclips positioned on the tips of the steel spindles to retain all the parts.  Quite why these have come off is a mystery.  The grooves for the surclips seem fine and Im tempted to fix them myself but all the parts are present if you fancy doing this yourself.
