Please note: This belonged to my mothers husband who passed, a collector of electronics and speakers and this will be one of many items of his collection we will be selling. We will do our best to answer any questions but note that none of these items were ours. From a clean and smoke free home. I will do my best to describe this Sherwood tested without an owners manual, and please note I am not an expert. On the front- it has a nice easy read amber display, all knobs and push buttons and headphone jack work as should. AM and FM also working as should. This is a quartz pll synthesizer tuning system.On the back- all 4 speaker outputs work as well as all audio and video RCAs, phono, cd, aux video, tape play, tape rec not tested. The best I can make out this is not an A or B or A+ system, it is a surround effect system using four speakers, though you can use the main speaker outputs as a 2 channel system with no speakers to the surrounds. If there is something I missed again I am not an expert. I used this for a month plus with no issues. Hows it sound? Using a Panasonic CD player and Canton speakers, and a variety of CDs and DVDs all I can say is WOW! The stereo surround effect is something that has to be heard for it is difficult to try to explain in words. But I enjoyed it for the month I listened to it both on CDs and DVDs and will miss it. This is a powerful mid sized receiver, built like a tank and heavy, mostly on the side where the amp is. Hopefully youll be WOWED, too! The FM sounds very nice, also.
