This is my Shure M97xE audiophile cartridge (with stylus) that I bought about eight years ago brand-new. I played it on maybe five albums total at the time before putting it (and my turntable) in storage in a closet. And there the cartridge has been ever since. So its had hardly any use whatsoever. FYI, Im mostly a streaming guy and have now sold all my albums, so I no longer need the cartridge. Comes with all the original packaging, including the metal case and all screws/washers, etc. Note: The connector wires shown in photos two and three have now been removed. I just left them on for purposes of showing what the cartridge looks like with them plugged in. U.S. bidders/buyers only.

SHURE M97XE AUDIOPHILE STEREO PHONOGRAPH CARTRIDGE.

Shure M97xE phono cartridge with original Shure stylus. Very low hours with original packaging. Lightly used with approximately 75 to 100 hours on clean records. (Thats a generous estimate. Its probably more like 50, but Id rather overestimate than under.) This has been recently tested and it sounds great! If youre looking at this you probably already know that this is a very highly regarded MM cartridge that has been out of production for several years. Its a particularly well tracking cartridge that tracks from about 1.25 to 1.5 grams. I usually had it at about 1.3 grams with the brush up. This includes everything that came with it new-- box (in nice condition), metal case, mounting hardware, screwdriver, cleaning brush, and instructions. I no longer have the original alignment guide, but have included one from LP gear that works just as well. Thanks for looking!
