Der Plattenspieler ist sehr hochwertig verarbeitet (Metallgehäuse, federgelagerte Plattenteller- und Tonarmeinheit). Der SL-1300 MK2 ist ein Direkttriebler und arbeitet vollautomatisch oder wahlweise auch manuell und besitzt zudem eine zu- bzw. abschaltbare auto return - Funktion. Beide Drehzahlen sind quartzgesteuert und +/- 9,99 % pitchbar und haben einen gleichmäßigen Lauf. Die Plattengrößen sind voreinstellbar. Außerdem hat er mehrere Repeat-Funktionen, mit denen die Platten von 1- bis 6-mal oder unendlich oft wiederholt abgespielt werden können. Montiert ist das originale Technics 205C-II-L Headshell mit einem EPC 205C-II-L MM Tonabnehmer mit einer noch gut aussehenden Nadel mit einem sauberen Klang (Spielzeit ist aber unbekannt). Der Plattenspieler wurde am Tonarmlift durch einen neuen Hebel instandgesetzt (hatte das bei diesen Modellen bekannte Tonarmliftproblem) und wurde dabei gleich mit frischem 500.000er Silikonöl geschmiert. Der Tonarmlift hebt und senkt den Tonarm jetzt wieder ordnungsgemäß, alle Funktionen sind nun wieder gegeben! Die Tonarmlagerung ist in Ordnung, der Tonarm bewegt sich sehr leichtgängig ohne Spiel. Außerdem wurde ein neues Oehlbach NF-1 Cinchkabel mit neuen Dynavox Cinchsteckern montiert. Die Haube befindet sich in einem guten bis sehr guten Zustand. Sie ist schön klar und glänzt, hat keine Risse oder Ausbrüche, lediglich ein paar kleinere Kratzer(chen). Am Gehäuse gibt es auch nur geringe Gebrauchsspuren. Die Displayleiste ist in einem sehr guten Zustand, die Bedientasten sind leicht zu schalten. WILL NOT POST OR ARRANGE FOR POSTING OR DELIVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE - I am only the 2nd owner of this turntable. The first owner bought it in person in Japan whilst working there. It had little use when he returned to these shores and was stored away unused for many years. Therefore, it is in very good condition indeed for a vintage item of more than 45 years.  The model was in production 1977-1978 so had a limited run.This model suffers ( or at least did) from the dreaded auto return mechanism fault, caused by the plastic part involved becoming brittle after decades.However, I have repaired this ( done one for a friend a few years ago too) with a new 3D printed part from a specialist in the Netherlands., the new part is thicker and stronger than the original. I knew about this design fault when I bought it, but also knew how to repair it. It isnt that easy I have to say and why many people haven’t bothered. I can’t see another for sale in the UK at the time of posting this,  This one comes with the fantastic and much lauded 205CMk3 cartridge and a new replacement stylus I obtained from Jico, a stylus specialist in Japan. I don’t normally buy or use automatic turntables but the condition of this one meant it was too good to pass by. Selling only as I’d like more space and I already own other Technics turntables. Although the dust cover / lid is in overall good condition, it’s my intention to hand and machine polish it to as close to new looking as possible as I have done to others several times, before it goes to any new owner. ( NOW DONE-  see pics). Not suitable for DJ use, this is audiophile use only.Demo definitely available. I have been buying and using Technics turntables since 1978 and these 1300mk2s don’t come much better than this!
