The motor bearing and spindle have been cleaned and lubricated. The motors armature contacts and magnet have been cleaned as well. The outboard pitch control pots, internal trim pots, and speed switch have been cleaned with DeOxit and Caigs Faderlube. All controls are operating smoothly. We have replaced the original RCA leads with new wiring. An Empire 2000 E/III cartridge with an NOS stylus is included. A 45rpm adapter is also included. The sound quality is clear with a rhythmic, solid beat, which I put down to the rigorous standard of the drive system and steady platter, combined with accurate tracking from a well designed tonearm. This SL-2000 does not include a lid.
