The items up for auction, with serial numbers 007 and 008, were originally from the Technics Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo, making them highly collectible and a rare find for serious audiophiles and collectors due to their distinctive serial numbers. Though there have been several gold special editions of the SL-1200 released over the years, this SL-1200 LTD, launched in 1996, is the very first of these gold commemorative versions.
