Celestion SL600Si with sturdy metal stands. Ive cleaned them up and painted in the front driver/tweeter mounting plates. The stands were also painted in black. Unique cabinets fabricated from a 0.5-thick, Aerolam (aluminum-honeycomb) aircraft flooring material. While low in mass, thus minimizing energy storage, it is sufficiently stiff enough for the resonances of its panels to be pushed almost two octaves higher in frequency than with a conventional wooden cabinet. The contribution to the overall sound from the flexing of the enclosure walls will thus be moved away from the region where instruments and voices have their energy maxima, and will also be lower in level. The result should be a low delayed-resonance signature, with correspondingly low levels of midrange coloration. Awesome sounding pair of Celestion SL600 Aerolam Speakers. If you know speakers or have been shopping then youll appreciate these being rare and hard to find because of their sound quality. Ive owned these for 5 years and ran them with an ADCOM GCD-750 CD Player through my ADCOM GFP-750 Pre-amp and ADCOM GFA-585 Limited Power-amp.The outside of the speakers are rough, dented (prior to me owning) on the back corners upper and lower. There are numerous scratches and the coating is tough to clean. The sticker on one of the back jacks is rough because of the glue holding it in place so please look at all pics.
