Here we have an UN-USED Thorens TD125 Mk.II Vintage turntable. It is partly boxed, the wife of the now deceased owner used the main box for moving house.. but the box for the plinth and lid remains. It was purchased along with a large amount of other gear (also in our listings) back in the 70’s, but shortly after purching, he became Ill and never unboxed any of the kit.. it was stored in a dry bebroom, where it remained until last week… The sme 3009 that was purchased along side this has already been listed. Along with the un-drilled original armboard, there is also an un-opened original SME board for a 3009 s2 included. The deck has been placed inside of the TX2 plinth, but it hasnt been installed and the cables have not been routed, nor holes drilled in the plinth.The lid hinge has not been installed and the lid has never been unwrapped.Mounting hardare is included. We have not tested it or plugged it in… we think, as this is a basically new old stock, that this should be done by the new owner.Please bare in min that this is 50 year old piece iof electrical equipment and associated problems may arise… waking up on a Variac is strongly advised, if you are intending to use it.Lubrication of the motor is also advised. Up for sale is an SME FD200 box plus accessories suitable for the 3009 & 3012 series tonearms. Please note that the damper tank is NOT included nor available. This box and its contents are presented as recently found after decades of storage. The box is in near mint condition and truly exceptional for its age. Included inside is - - Assorted fixings - Right opening arm rest for 3009/ 3012 & R-series - Control lever for 3009 - Series II unimproved control lever - FD-2014 cartridge seating compound. This is not guaranteed to be useable due to it being a ?40 year old compound, but it is soft and malleable. Will be sent very well packed via Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded. UK sale only.
