However, if you further wanted to maintain the performance of the speakers in the future, you might consider re-coning the wofers in the lower units as i have been using (but never abusing) them for 10 years, hooked up to tube electronics. I would keep them but i just dont have room in my new living quarters which i am moving to for such large floorstanding speakers. They can create truly concert hall sound. Includes combining cables to hook between top and lower cabinets and internal crossover electronics. Without the interconnecting cables, The speakes can also be bi-amped.
