Sonab Loudspeakers. Sonab OA12 Swedish Omnidirectional Speakers in original white lacquer. In excellent unrestored condition from the 1970s. They give a beautiful spacious performance and are very tolerant over positioning. I bought these speakers many years ago because I had very few choices about placement and not much space These speakers have, from their original days, Din 2 pin speaker sockets, a connection not much used nowadays. The speakers will come with 2 Din plugs although the buyer would probably want to convert the speakers to standard banana sockets. The speaker is a bass reflex design, so is quite capable in the bass department for their size. The reflex port fires downwards underneath the unit to the floor. The top of the speaker, underneath the metal grills, is made up of an angled mid/bass unit and two angled tweeters. All the drivers are in excellent, fault free condition. The drivers are of excellent quality as are the passive crossover units. Cosmetically, these units are about 50 years old and have been well cared for but part of a busy home. The original white lacquer finish has just a hint of age related yellowing with slight rubbing to some of the corners. The metal grills are in excellent condition and are complete. Both original Sonab badges are present. At the base, the original back feet have been lost but replaced by me. From the Carlson Planet website: OA-12reproduces the classic sensual Carlsson-sound, lively and relaxed, with the same ability to create the illusion of the back wall disappearing as the other Carlsson speakers from the seventies. They are not demanding particularly high currency capability, so they could be used with relatively cheap amplifiers with still very good result. Sound reproduction from well and fully restored and upgraded pairs is strikingly revealing, relaxed and non-straining. In particular OA-12 also was kind of Stig Carlssons own favourite among his seventies designs. I am still struck by how much excellent bass-reproduction it was possible to achieve from these tiny cabinets, Stig said in 1996. OA-12makes quite the same impact as SonabOD-11: it is easy to forget how small and old these speakers are. Instead you can enjoy the qualities of the music and the sound reproduction. Hour after hour, listening to music instead of speakers. Schwedische Sonab B31 Lautsprecher +++++ Lautsprecher zur hochwertigen Musikwiedergabe +++++ Sonab (sowie JWS) ist zurecht der grte skandinavische Lautsprecherhersteller und hat stets aufwndige oder interessante, sehr ausgewogen klingende Lautsprecher entworfen. Diese Lautsprecher wurden unter anderem in Hifi bzw. High End Fachgeschften wie z.B. dem ehemaligen Klangwerk in Ibbenbren angeboten. Die von mir hier angebotenen Sonab b31 Lautsprecher sind mit einem geschlossenen Gehuse ausgerstet und besitzen anstatt einer Bassreflex Konstruktion einen passiven Radiator zur Steigerung des Bass Anteils. Sie klingen meiner Meinung nach hervorragend, mit einem ausgewogenen, detaillierten Hochtonbereich und klarer Mitteltonwiedergabe. Ein detaillierter Grundton mit flligen Tieftonfundament rundet das Klangbild ab, ohne zu drhnen. Im Laufe der Zeit lieen sich ein paar Gebrauchsspuren bzw Kratzer leider nicht vermeiden. Die Kabelterminals sind nicht mehr ganz so fest, wie ursprnglich, bieten trotzdem ausreichende Kontaktsicherheit. Privatverkauf.
