Sony CFD-501 Boombox CD Player AM/FM Radio Cassette Player Does Not Work. We fully tested this boombox and here are the results. The AM/FM Radio player received a good signal and produced great sound. The antenna is in good condition but the small pieces of plastic are no longer on the back where the antenna snaps into place. See photos. The CD player read our 5 test CDs with no problem. Products great sound. The cassette player did not pass our tests. The gears did not move any of our test tapes. This boombox would work well on a job site or in a workshop.

Sony Mega Bass Huge Boombox CD Cassette Radio Player Model CFD-565L Part Working. Huge boombox that looks fantastic and cosmetically very good. But the CD and cassette deck dont work. The radio is fine - the aerial has a dent in it. The unit has a rotary equalizer and mega bass control so the sound is loud and fantastic. The CD player wont read cds - just says no CD. The cassette decks have no movement. One other thing - the left hand speaker catch to hold it in place snapped off so you cant carry it round but it stays on place on a shelf.. Hopefully fixable by someone better skilled than me.
