Vintage Sony Tapecorder 101 mono reel to reel tape recorder dating from the 1960s. Re-listed because the original buyer hadnt read the listing properly ! The unit was purchased new in the UK by my father and used in the home until approximately the mid 1970s. Since then it has been in storage in a spare bedroom. It powers up and I briefly ran a short bit of tape through it to see if it works, which it does, but although I could hear the music on the tape being played, the mechanism was very noisy and there was a loud humming noise. Given that it has not been used for nearly 50 years it will need servicing by a competent person before it could be used with any confidence. This is an item for an enthusiast who knows what they are doing with vintage recording equipment. Cosmetically the condition is very good as you can see from the photos.
