You can see it in dark room but in lit room, its hard to see. 2) Tape deck sticks closed. If you press eject, you need to also use something to pop it open. This can likely be easily adjusted to work fine with a little effort in repair. All else seems to work fine. Up for auction here is a Tascam CD-A500 Compact Disc / Player / Reverse Cassette Deck. Item is in good cosmetic condition with some signs of use such as scuffs, scrapes and scratches. There is a small dent on the top of the unit and we did take a photo and circled where the dent is so that you can see what we are trying to describe. We did plug in this unit and as you can see it did power on and as you can hear in the videos, both the CD player and the Cassette Player seems to work just fine. In good condition, some cosmetic issues like a ding, a scratch and a few nicks off the finish. We tested it as far as playing a CD, which it did well. Up for auction is a used Tascam CD-A500 rack-mount CD/cassette combination player. Tested recording and playback and all works as it should. The pitch control knob is missing but the control works (I used the headphone level knob to adjust the pitch control). The headphone level control is a little scratchy- turning it back and forth a bunch of times or Deoxit spray should remedy that. The only operational issue noted is that, with a cassette inserted, when the power is turned on, the cassette starts playing without having to push the Play button. Both transports work fine aside from the above issue (this could actually be by design- I dont have the manual). Original remote control is included. Cosmetic condition is very good overall- theres some imperfections on the top cover but the faceplate and controls are in very nice shape. Offered AS IS, as described.
