The TC-KE600S was the replacement for the hugely popular Sony TC-K600S. With an improved circuit design for even better recording and playback performance. This deck has had a very easy life with low hours. All the decks I have for sale are fully re-conditioned back to as close as possible to manufacturer specifications and I’m not just talking about cleaning the play head and capstan. This deck has undergone and extensive service including: Tape path alignment, transport service and clean including fresh lubricant using Molykote EM-30L synthetic grease. New pinch roller and belts (x2). Heads and capstan fully cleaned. Azimuth and speed checked and adjusted. Output, eq, record and internal bias levels calibrated. Heads demagnetised and switches and pots cleaned. Works perfectly. In very good condition overall with some minor marks from normal use and stacking of other audio equipment. Low hours. A great deck if you’re wanting to get into the cassette revival and appreciate the enjoyment of a good and well set up deck. This deck has had a very easy life with low hours. One of the last decks produced by Sony and the new replacement for the outgoing and popular TC K611S. Made in a period when manufacturers of cassette players had invested heavily to compete with the popularity of CD players. Cassette decks by this time had really reached their peak. There isn’t a deck being manufactured today that can come close to the performance of this machine.
