Sometimes the volume knob crackles with static or will emit a short tone. Adjusting the knob up and down while playing music can help to clear this up, but occasionally quiet static persists. When this does happen it is usually clearable with some perseverance. The amp has been extremely well looked after and has been recently serviced. TEAC A-H500 Integrated Amplifier - Champagne Silver, Good Condition, Fully Working with remote control. This is a vintage classic. Good looks, lovely sound, motorised volume control, input for turntable, auxiliary, tuner, two tapes, minidisc and CD player, with CD direct mode bypassing tone controls and improving sound to noise ratio. It also has a good quality headphone output. These little amps are quite sought after and this one is in very good condition inside and out with only a few very minor scuffs visible in the pics. The front panel is immaculate. Its a heavy little beast (7 kg) with a large toroidal transformer at the heart and provides 50W per channel. I don't have the original packing but it will be well packed for delivery.
