Bedient wird der AX-250 mit der Fernbedienung TEAC WRC-8600 (neuwertig), die theoretisch beliebig viele WAPs verwalten kann. Die Bedienung des AX250 entspricht der des 8600 - ergänzt um Extras wie einen Line-Eingang zum Anschluss lokaler Analog-Quellen, auf der Rückseite angebrachte Klangregler und die wirklich praktische Möglichkeit, Lautstärke und Mute über Tasten direkt am Gerät zu steuern, ohne dafür jedesmal den Controller zu wecken. Als Besonderheit, kann man im AX250 statt externer USB-Platten auch nackte 2,5-Zoll-SATA-Harddisks eingesetzt werden.
