The new Class A system, consisting of a synchronous bias circuit and concentrated power block, is newly equipped with a linear feedback circuit.This circuit was developed using the best of multiple feedback circuit technology, forming an independent periodic circuit in the NFB loop that enables amplifiers to have a bare amplification level of ?. Theoretical values include zero distortion, pure gain without the influence of elements or power supplies, and speaker drive without the influence of back EMFs or wires. A synchronous bias circuit is provided to supply a constant bias to the + and - output transistors, which are alternately deactivated in class-B operation, in synchronization with the deactivation cycle, so that the output stage is always active and switching distortion is eliminated.Furthermore, since the signal path and bias current path are independent, the output stage maintains the proper operating point, and coupled with the function of the high-speed diode with square characteristics, crossover distortion is eliminated. The output stage and power supply section are integrated in a clever configuration to adopt a concentrated power block that fundamentally eliminates the adverse effects of electromagnetic fields.Furthermore, the use of highly shielded magnetic materials in the chassis and covers suppresses external induction. Four 10,000?F electrolytic capacitors are used in the power supply section. A switch is provided to switch between full (120W+120W) and limited (30W+30W) output, allowing the user to enjoy driving the 30W output with a huge power supply with plenty of margin, such as when the surroundings are quiet.When limited is selected, the meter illumination is also turned off, resulting in low power consumption. A purely electronic protection circuit is provided, which disconnects the speaker by a relay if a DC component is generated at the speaker terminals.This circuit also operates to protect the amplifier in the event of a short circuit or abnormally low impedance load on the speaker terminals.
