Here is the Vidicon Camera Tube labeled GPL 9900 It measures about 6 long, with a 9-pin base. I cannot test the tube but I did investigate the pin arrangement with a meter and learned that pins 1 and 9 show a connection, perhaps a filament? Pins 2 and 4 show a connection, while pins 3,5,6,7 and 8 are unconnected to any other pin. The tube will be safely packed and quickly sent by US Priority Mail. Here is a vacuum tube labeled GPL 9900 unlike any other tube Ive ever seen. Ive searched the web but cannot find any mention it. It measures about 6 long, with a 9-pin base. I tested the pin arrangement with a meter and learned that pins 1 and 9 show a connection, perhaps a filament? Pins 2 and 4 show a connection, while pins 3,5,6,7 and 8 are unconnected to any other pin. The top of the tube has the flat darkened surface I show. Ive been in this business for decades, but this tube was new for me. I have no idea if it works or even what it does, but for you folks who seek the unusual in vacuum tubes, this one might complete your collection. Stop the presses!
