This VPI dust cover is an aftermarket unit. I believe the name of the company was auto shield, but I’m not certain as seen in the pictures. It fits very nicely on a VPI scoutmaster this unit is used but in excellent condition it has no cracks only very minor scuffs, which can hardly be seen, see pics. I am selling the desk cover only. I included the plinth in the pictures so you could see how it fit. Thank you.

This VPI Scoutmaster plinth is the foundation of the famous VPI turntable. It comes in a sleek black color and stands at 5 inches tall. The model is Scoutmaster and it weighs approx 35lbs, with dimensions of 19 inches in length and 14 inches in width. This Plinth is in very good condition overall, as seen in pictures. There are minor discoloration in the thin silver strip (see pics) only noticeable when you get very close. I did not attempt to clean it. Also has a small crack on one foot. It does not seem to have affected the level of the plinth. It’s so faint I missed it until I put my readers on. Even then I could barely see it. I tempted to get pictures of it. See pics.

I purchased this new in February 2023 for about $4100 for the turntable, tonearm and cartridge. Has only about 30-40 hours on it. In excellent like new condition. The unit for sale is in excellent condition, the acrylic is shiny without scratches, it comes with 7 balls (only 6 needed under the Scoutmaster), instructions, and the motor plate still in its original bag.The unit will be securely packed to prevent scratches or damage to the acrylic plate. The Scoutmaster is not included.

Up for auction is my recently serviced (by George Meyer AV), upgraded VPI Scout turntable. The turntable was significantly upgraded with the JMW Memorial 10.5i Tonearm and the HRX/Scoutmaster 2 platter and inverted bearing. This is the perfect table for those who want more than the stock Scout or Prime. It is boxed up and ready to ship. The JMW 10.5i arm has the VTA on the fly tower, that you dont get on any table below the $5K VPI Prime 21. It is wired internally with Nordost Valhalla wiring from the cartridge pins all the way through to the cable junction box, with an additional 2.5 grams effective mass for greater cartridge compatibility (including lighter, low compliance carts), variable pivot fluid damping, and mechanical anti-skate control. please note, I used the twisted wire anti skate method recommend by VPI an no longer have the rubber anti-skate weights. Also included is the Soundsmith counterintuitive, VPI alignment jig, and Ginko cover (although the cover is modified by me to fit the much larger arm. No cartridge is included with the sale. However, I would recommend the Ortofon Quintent Black. This is a heavy table, and will come in 2 boxes (1 for the table the second for the cover) No returns or warranty implied.

I am downsizing everything and am parting with my beloved VPI Scout Jr Turntable. Always maintained well and taken care of. I am the original owner and it has always been used in my non-smoking home. Only played LPs straight off of my cleaning machine so the stylus is in great shape too. Table holds perfect speed and the arm and cart are aligned, and weighted, perfectly. Includes an acrylic platter dust protector, record weight, quality grounding cable and RCA interconnect cable. Installed cartridge and stylus is a Nagaoka MP200 which retails for $400 on its own. I do have the original retail box. I do not have the user manual, but that can be had online. This is a local only PICK UP item. I am in the Los Angeles area.
