This is a 5.1 surround sound receiver. Unfortunately, the rear channels have a crackle. It would make a good stereo 2 or 3 channel unit without rear speakers or even a stereo amp for a hi-fi setup. There is a remote control. It also does not have the microphone for setting the sound balance automatically(YPAO), sorry.
