Bang & Olufsen B&O Beocenter 4000 Receiver Amp Twin Cassette. Used working condition Amplifier receiver and twin cassette tape deck in one. Two speaker channels both tested both working well. A button under the front edge selects B speakers Had a pair of speakers with 2 pin din speaker connectors on them to test this unit. Unit sounding good. Speakers not included Two sliders on right front corner. Left one is volume adjustment. Right one is tuning of radio when FM button is pressed. It is also possible to preset 4 stations in a panel next to the tape deck, selection buttons for these presets on far right of unit just beneath glass panel P1-P4. On the sides of right slider there is button on the left to select LW radio band, and on the right is the main On /Off button for the unit. Lift the glass lid and there are two tape decks inside. The right is Tape Deck 1 and left is Tape Deck 2. To play a cassette press the button under the glass panel which has Tape above it. Tape deck 1 always takes priority so if you have two tapes in the deck it will always play Tape Deck 1. If you want to play deck 2 make sure there is no cassette in tape deck 1. To record from tape deck to tape deck, put a black cassette in deck 1 and the tape to copy in deck 2. Press tape then record (record flashes) press copy, then press record again (record is still lit but no longer flashing, use record level slider to adjust recording level. Press stop to stop recording. To record from another source, load blank cassette in tape deck 1 as before. We are going to record from a CD player using Aux input, so press Aux. Press record. Set record level using slider. Then press record again to begin recording. A dub button allows recording of a mic over another source, I haven’t tested this as I don’t have microphone. Unit also has inputs for record deck (phono) rca phono connectors, a slot just above is for your earthing connector. No eject button for cassettes you have to remove and insert but locating cassette in the deck. Headphone socket is under front edge next to the speaker B button. There is also a socket there for a microphone, I have not tested this as don’t currently have a microphone. Control buttons for the tape deck and for radio and other inputs are on the right side, what each button is in type under the glass panel. When selected a red bar above type is illuminated. This is a little difficult to read. Tuning bar is under this panel and frequency scale is also difficult to read. Radio tested, attached a ribbon cable(not included) picked up a few stations, reception not brilliant, Amy need a stronger aerial or a better signal area. This glass panel has scratches and scuffs on the surface, and on the left side there is pattern of marks, looks like a fluid stain but I have not been able to remove. Glass panel on the left, this one is hinged and covers the tape deck, also has scuffs and marks some quite heavy. Silver panels are good with some marks, side edges are good. Rear is good, their may have been panels covering the speaker and input connections but they are not with the unit now. The tape deck has not been used for many years but I think it will still work. Some of the lights may not work. Included is the original manual (Unlike modern manuals it is in English only!), the speaker cable and a cable to link to an external FM Ariel.
