A 16.5 cm cone type woofer is installed in the low range. A paper Kevlar cone is used for the diaphragm of this unit. A large diameter mushroom type dust cap is a feature. A voice coil bobbin directly supports the back side of the dust cap to enable dynamic low range playback. The mid-range is equipped with a 16.5 cm cone type mid-range. The diaphragm of this unit uses a Kevlar cone to reduce the standing wave generated in the cone. In addition, the center cap is equipped with a bullet-shaped fading plug to improve the diffusivity in the middle and high regions, making the connection between drive units smoother. A 2.5 cm metal dome type tweeter is installed in the high range. This unit is a tube-loading tweeter used in the Nautilus 800 series, which effectively absorbs unwanted sound radiation from behind the diaphragm, enabling higher-quality high-frequency playback. In the network section, the filters for woofer and tweeter are separated into separate boards to eliminate mutual interference between each circuit. Air-core choke coils and polypropylene film capacitors are used for the circuit elements. The enclosure uses a bass reflex system. The CDM NT series enhances the exposure of the tweeter by exposure of the tweeter, enhances the sound spread and the sense of freedom, and improves the total system performance by aligning the time with the woofer. The bass reflex port has a number of small depressions in the opening that act like the surface of a golf ball and, in combination with hydrodynamically studied shapes, improve air turbulence in the port. The exterior has a natural veneer finish and comes in three variations : black ash, red cherry and cherry. 2 x B&W Bowers Wilkins CDM 7 Generic Replacement Tweeter Speaker Coils Foils.Always fit in pairs, that way they will look exactly the same & they will also sound exactly the same.You are buying a pair of generic replacement tweeter coils & foils (as seen on these pictures) to fit the bowers & wilkins CDM 7 loudspeakers.They are a very good replacement for your old blown or dented tweeters.Dependant on when exactly your tweeters were made, these will either slot straight into place or you will find they are about 1.5mm wider that the slot for them.If they are slightly wider, then all you need to do is to put a very thin edge of superglue around the edge of your plastic tweeter surround (use the tip of a cotton bud) & then place the tweeter coil - foil in place using the magnet part of your complete unit to line it up while the glue sets.BEFORE you first open the tweeter up make sure that you mark the position of both parts of the tweeter, they slot together in a certain place & marking them before opening them will save you loads of time & agro later on.You will need the following tools to fit these.A philips screwdriver (small - medium head)A flathead screwdriver (small - medium head)A soldering iron & solder.Some superglug & a cotton bud.These replacement tweeter coils & foils can be used with many bowers & wilkins loudspeakers.You will need a steady hand, a fair degree of common sence (like do not glue into place until you have made sure it fits together correctly) & a few minutes spare time when fitting these.REMEMBER, THEY ARE VERY DELICATE, NO RETURNS ON ANY COILS - FOILS THAT YOU DAMAGE WHILST FITTING THEM.RETURNS ON BRAND NEW NOT FITTED COILS - FOILS ONLY.If you are not still not sure about fitting these, in the first instance have a look on youtube, you will be able to find videos on there showing what to do.If you still have issues, then send an email through ebay messaging to us, we will attempt to get back to you within 24hrs (we are NOT sat on the computer 24/7)FREE UK SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM.All items are sent by signed for & recorded delivery.
