Ive owned both turntables for about 15 years. Have not used either one in about 4-5 years. The TX2 was sent for service and the needle was purchased new (refurbished) at the time. Im sure they both need a new belt and adjustments, so please consider that when buying, they will require some TLC.Cartridges included are MMC5; MMC4; SMMC4 (I think that is the refurbished one).I have a new baby at home and need to clear space.I cant find the checkbox for free shipping for some reason, but shipping in the US is included.Thank you!

Consequently, the higher the ETM value, the higher the force required for a given constant acceleration. Obviously, more force results in more wear. Three elements contribute to ETM. While B&O is aware that cartridge specifications are inter-related, their research shows consistently that Effective Tip Mass (ETM) is one of the major factors affecting record wear. ETM is the equivalent of the amount of inertia the groove sees in moving or accelerating the stylus tip. Consequently, the higher the ETM value, the higher the force required for a given constant acceleration. Obviously, more force results in more wear. Three elements contribute to ETM. The stylus tip (diamond) contributes with its entire weight and mass. The armature contributes between 5 - 20% of its weight and mass; the cantilever around 30%. B&O has been able to reduce ETM substantially by refining these elements and building them into an integrated unit. The result is a system which not only reduces damage to the groove walls dramatically, but also provides exceptional performance at all frequencies.

Firstly, this is a tangential record player, this means that the stylus moves across the record deck at a 90 degree angle to the record across the whole record. this reduces weight on the record by the stylus as it sits perfectly in groove at all times. In addition, there is a black round weight sensor in the centre of the deck, this records the weight of the record being played and sets up the record player with the correct speed (LP or Single) and sets the record player start position so that the stylus starts in exactly the correct position. There are control buttons on the record deck for moving the stylus to intended tracks on the album. These controls raise and lower the stylus in the selected position and there is also a play command button, The stylus is also moved to the requested start position on the record and can be lowered into the position required. To make this all easier to do Bang and Olufsen, in its design also incorporated a light in the back of the unit that shines across the record highlighting the grooves, making the start of tracks easily identifiable. The record player is mounted on its ground breaking suspension system that removes vibrations and keeps the record player playing at its optimum performant. This item was returned and I havent opened the box from the return. Previous buyer claimed damage but couldnt substantiate the claim so I couldnt do a damage claim with FedEx. Hes been added to my Wall of Shame and is not welcome in my store. This is what he said about the damage: Shipping screws were not fastened prior to packing. Item arrived with 2 of the three suspension hooks unattached and damage to the left rear leaf springs’ brass screw threading, and a damaged stylus. The table was packed properly and was sold for parts or repair. And Im not sure if he switched some parts or kept some parts. Heres the original description: Works good.
