I had this for about a year, love the quality of the projection, but a power surge or overheating took out one pixel on the DMD chip. I took it apart and cleaned everything and tried a replacement chip, but it must have been damaged when I got it from a disreputable seller. Every piece of this projector works great except for the DMD chip. Someone who knows they have a good replacement chip and is somewhat skilled at working with projectors should be able to get this working no problem. I ended up replacing the projector and putting my repair project on hold because I got too busy. Could also be great for spare parts. Again, used for a year. Loved the quality, but the DMD chip got stuck pixels. I tried replacing, but I got a bum chip. If you want to try your hand, I think theres a great chance you can get a top notch projector with a small investment.
