A very rare classic combo that seldom appear on the resale market. The genesis of CODA Technologies began in March of 1985. Originally incorporated as Continuum Electronics, an independent design and engineering consultancy, the company was founded by Eric Lauchli, B.D. Dale and Lorin Peterson, former members of the R&D and technical support staff of the Threshold Corporation, then an innovative leader in high-performance solid state audio electronics. On consignment from the second owner, who purchased the pair in 2021 from the original owner. Both preamplifier and amplifier function perfectly. Both are rated 8/10 due to age and minor scratches on the top of the case. Functionally the amplifier is absolutely flawless. The preamplifier exhibited some pot noise but with exercise and a touch of DeOxit, the problem resolved itself.. Our tech has gone through and confirmed that this preamp is functioning properly and all components are in perfect working order. Cosmetically it is in beautiful shape with no blemishes or marks. The soundstaging and imaging on this balanced preamp is incredible for its compact size. It has a huge sound that is smooth on the high-end with tight punchy bass response that is an absolute joy to listen to.
