I have accumulated hundreds of pieces of audio equipment over the 40 years I serviced and restored. Some are being sold as is and other are being restored by me. Lots of vintage parts too This is a Dynaco ST80. This is the first and only 80 have had that worked when I brought it up on a variac. Both channels clean and clear. I couldnt believe it so I checked all the caps and voltages and it was right on everything. Sounded very nice also. So I put it on the scope and analyzer and it passed every test perfectly. Put out 40 and 41 watts both channel driven with a 400 hz sine wave to clipping. Square wave was also perfect. I shook my head and hooked it up to my shop sound system(JBL 4311s, Carver Tuner preamp) and listened to it for a week. Sounded great, didnt overheat and never made any strange sounds(truly a miracle) Chassis is as good as it was new.Since I really dont like rebuilding 80s(either the st or sca) I decided to sell it as all original.
