I have had these sitting around for a while They werent stored improperly but they were stored out in the open for a while and are dusty. I got these from a stereo buff who had them installed in some home made speakers. That is why there is so much silicone on them, It does not hurt them in any way. This was thought to help the the speakers from vibrating in some super sonic spectrum that even a dog cant hear. Tested and work great. They have 4 poles to hook up to but you only use the two. Looking for a soundbar & sub that you can actually place your TV on top of? The Focal Dimension is it. I had it set up this way and it was very convenient not having to find a spot in the room for a separate sub. This is a two-piece unit that nests together and appears like a single unit. Only 4 ½ inches high. See photos & description for full dimensions. The condition is great. The main soundbar unit is gorgeous brushed black aluminum and the sub box is classy gloss piano-black. Overall, it’s in perfect functional condition and very good cosmetic condition. This isn’t something you’ll want to hide, it’s a very attractive unit as the photos show. Soundbar supports DTS and Dolby Digital. The original selling price for this two-piece soundbar was over $1500, but I’m selling at a fraction of that. I know the cost of shipping these pieces may be an issue, so I’m listing both together at a very reasonable price. Local pickup is fine to save shipping. All original parts and accessories are included (remote, wires, instruction booklets, etc….) The Focal Dimension soundbar has several unique features. The controls on the front face of the unit have a proximity sensor. Get a few inches from the right side of the panel and the controls sense movement and light up a nice blue color. Once you’ve adjusted volume or select an input, and move away, the display turns off. Convenient, and not distracting in a dark room while watching TV. The front display is touch sensitive or the remote can be used for all adjustments. I also love the power of the sub which adds a solid “oomph” when required (i.e. action movies or music soundtracks) but isn’t boomy when it’s not needed. There is also a convenient setting labelled “night” which enhances vocals and lowers the sub output. Great when there are kids in bed or if others don’t want to be disturbed. Description of each unit: Soundbar: contains five full-range (4 inch) speakers and three amplifiers (totaling 320 watts). One of the amplifiers powers the subwoofer. All cable attachments are on the rear panel of the soundbar including the power cord. The wires all fit under the sub box and out the back. Very clean, no visible wires from the front/sides. Bluetooth dongle included for wireless sound from your phone. See photos for all input options. Overall size of the soundbar (in inches) is 46 wide X 4 ½ high X 4 ½ deep. Weight is 12 lbs. Subwoofer unit: contains two 8 X 3 elliptical woofers inside the box. The sub receives power from the soundbar so must be wired using conventional speaker wire (included). Size of the sub box is 46 X 4 ½ high X 16 deep. Weight is 31 lbs. Frequency response of the sub speaker is 30-110 hz. When the soundbar is nested against the sub box, the total size of the unit is 46 wide X 4 ½ high X 16 deep. Both units are overbuilt and very sturdy and can easily support a flatscreen TV.
