Up for sale is a very nice ADCOM GFP 555 stereo preamplifier. This one was from the original owner. This is a very high quality preamplifier that features a PHONO input stage with selectable cartridge type (moving magnet or moving coil) and selectable capacitance. Cosmetically this unit is in very good condition. It shows only very minor signs of wear. There are not major marks or dings on the unit. The front and back of the unit are in excellent condition. The top shows some rough areas that appear to be due to cleaning. Please look carefully at all of the pictures to judge the condition for yourself. The unit has been cleaned and tested. All of the control pots were cleaned with Deoxit and function perfectly and silently as they should. All functions of the unit work perfectly as they were when new. Vintage ADCOM GFP-555 Preamplifier in Good Cosmetic Condition. I purchased this unit of Facebook Marketplace about 2 years ago and used it regularly in a second system I have in my office. It did sound very good, clean sounding, but I am listing it for parts or repair because the left channel would drop out, usually right after I turned the unit on for use. I would turn the volume knob a few times and the sound would come back and would be fine for the rest of the night. I have never had the unit serviced and I am not a tech, just a stereo lover. I am selling because I found another Preamp from the 70s that fits the era of this particular system, better. A (copy) of the original manual is included.
