For sale is a pair of limited edition, all black, LS50 bookshelf speakers with their original box and manual, in excellent condition. Our tech has confirmed that these speakers are in perfect working order and all components are functioning properly. Cosmetically these speakers are in great shape with very little signs of use, though there is a minor ding on the front of one of the speakers that is only visible under close inspection. (This is showcased in the pictures). As far as the overall look of these speakers go, they have a fantastic appearance that looks stunning in person. KEF made a limited number of all black LS50s and has since then discontinued both this model and style of LS50s making this an increasingly rare KEF model. Got these a few years ago and have put 25 hours MAX usage in them. I had them set up in a spare bedroom along with 3 other pairs of speakers (just so u know I am not blowing smoke, I’ve included photos of bedroom setup). In the 2nd to last photo, u can see the LS50 on a stand at the left. I prefer vintage speakers…namely JBL…So I am selling these near mint to mint KEF monitor passive speakers to make room for yet another pair of vintage speakers. Again, I have at most 25 hours on these speakers!!!! Am told that the all black LS50’s were produced in limited numbers and are a bit rare. I do not know if that is true. **** The LS50 monitor speaker pair and original box are the ONLY items for sale in this listing. ALL other items in photos are NOT for sale. ****. KEF LS50 Limited Black Edition No. 4626 Original Box and port plugs. A pair of limited edition Kef LS50 speakers ( not the Meta edition, to avoid confusion ). They are the limited, uniquely numbered, all black edition, no. 4626. They have been well looked after and are in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. They come in original packaging with port plugs ( in the picture you can see the semi plug but the full plug is included ). I have had them from new but only bought them about 4 years ago and they have had light use in my study system. If you are looking at this you will know the reputation these speakers have. They sound fantastic. They have a reputation for being power hungry but I have driven mine absolutely fine with a 40 watt tube amp, a 40 watt class D amp and a 150 watt class A/B amp. I prefer to use them with a small subwoofer but that is purely a matter of taste and in my opinion they have plenty of bass weight on their own. If you choose to bid I am sure you will gain as much pleasure from these as I have. I am selling purely because of the audiophile curse of wanting a change and have moved to Revel M106 speakers which are a step up in price and sound different, but not necessarily better, than the KEFs. Also I have a 12.5 watt 300b amp in another system and the Revels match that a bit better.
