Korvet 003 turntable (Corvette 003) is the first-year turntable production model, high end, assembled by scientists and specialists in a military submarine factory. It has been produced with a rare original tonearm sarcophagi-protection which in Western countries has been named „The Chernobyl Spinnaker “.The unusual shape of the disc and the tonearm design made it resemble a spaceship. This particular design of the turntable has been evaluated in exhibitions in France.The tonearm ball is made from a titan therefore it is very light but strong. The tonearm uses viscous dynamic damping of the main resonance in the horizontal and vertical planes (with the glycerine). The needle holder is made from beryllium! What a crazy idea! It is the first cartridge stylus holder with a beryllium metal in the world! This turntable is in full working order. Although one of the minor flaws is the left regulator of the tonearm. It does not rotate but as it was dedicated to design (visual), it does not affect the sound quality or the turntables‘ general functionality. The right regulator which is dedicated to the regulation of the stylus force load works properly.These models were not available in the market for the general population (sold or presented as a gift to directors or high officials). It has been evaluated to be worth at least five salaries of an ordinary person of that time or about 1/7 of a new car. This particular turntable was in ownership by the USSR marine captain! The next model of this turntable no. 038 has been a simplified version of the 003. It also has been produced in large quantities. All documents with the exact number of the turntable are included. The power supply is 220-230v. There a several marks on the turntable coverage, and a very small dot near the start button ( it is seen in the last photo).I can ship the turntable worldwide, except Russia, Belarus and Israel. This is a vintage and high-end Korvet 105 Phono Cartridge that has been tested and working. I acquired this cartridge years ago in a small collection of Russian phono cartridges that all worked but don’t know anything more about it’s history etc. - very rare. This one has a replaceable stylus assembly. Cantilever is straight and true.
