It looks great! Here is a description of what it's doing. The power switch is touchy. It usually turns on, but sometimes the switch has to be tapped or turned off and on.,. It will not tune a station even though the meters are showing that it is and the stereo light illuminates. When listening I can hear a station very faint in the background.When turning the tuning knob the stations will come in loud as they are supposed to for a millisecond. This is when going past the strong stations while turning the knob.. I am not a technician and I have not had it checked. It could be an easy fix for someone with the know how, but I do not know. It is strictly sold AS IS for repair. Please look closely at the photos. What you see is what you will receive. No antenna included. Shipping will be a flat $20 to the lower 48. Thanks for looking

Fantastic FM tuner for sale from original owner. The tuner is 100% functionally perfect and has never been serviced. Truly CD quality sound (or better). Tuner locks in on channels. Face is cosmetically perfect. Entire chassis is perfect except for one small paint chip on top plate. Absolutely zero wear or fingertip oil on faceplate or switches as this unit was hardly used. Has been boxed for years. Original packaging.

Magnum Dynalab FT 101 Analog Tuner The Canadian-made Magnum Dynalab FT 101, which covers only the fm band (88 to 108 MHz), is perhaps the last of the analog tuners. Its tuning knob, a vanishing feature on today’s digital tuners, varies the setting of a potentiometer whose output voltage controls the frequency of a voltage-controlled oscillator. A heavy flywheel provides the silky, freewheeling action that used to be a hallmark of a good tuning mechanism. The only other controls on the handsome panel are five lever switches for power, mono/ stereo mode, wide/narrow IF bandwidth, AFC, and muting. Three fairly large illuminated meters are the most visible front-panel features. In the middle is a zero-center tuning meter whose pointer indicates the correct tuning setting. To its right is the RF input meter, which reads relative signal strength, and to its left is a multipath indicator. The FT 101’s only obvious concession to digital technology is a large green frequency readout below the tuning meter. An internal frequency counter measures the frequency of the local oscillator and subtracts the 10.7-MHz IF frequency, so that the readout shows the actual frequency (to the nearest 0.1 MHz) to which the tuner is set. The rear apron of the tuner contains an F-type coaxial connector for a 75-ohm FM antenna and two pairs of gold-plated audio output jacks. Marked HI and LO, these jacks carry the audio signal at two different fixed levels for compatibility with preamplifiers (such as a few British models) whose line-level inputs are designed to operate with low-level input signals. A transformer is supplied for use with 300-ohm fm antennas, and its screw terminals allow it to function as an adaptor for connecting feeder wires or lugs to the coaxial connector.

This MD FT101 tuner appears to have been modified (extra holes in the rear panel, now covered with a plate, and the RCA jacks have been upgraded to WBT gold RCAs), and seems to work fine, pulling in about the same stations as my FT101A. The numeric display, all 3 meters and the meter lights work fine. Some wear marks on the edges of the faceplate. Sold as-is. See my listing for a MD205 signal sleuth FM amplifier as well.
