The input stage uses select J-FET transistors with MOSFET followers to provide ultra-quiet, low-impedance drive to the 6FQ7 dual triodes, which directly drive the output tubes. (The V amplifiers are shipped with matched, selected KT90 output tubes, although other popular alternative tube types are compatible: 6550. 6550A. KT88 or KT100.) 120 watts minimum continuous at 4-16 ohms from 20Hz to 20kHz with less than 1.0% total harmonic distortion (typically below .005% at 1 watt).
