Up for auction is a pair of used Polk Audio Monitor M4.5 bookshelf speakers. All drivers work and the speakers sound very nice. Original non-functional woofers were replaced with exactly the same model (used) Polk woofers. Cosmetic condition is good, especially given the speakers age. Grilles look great, the cabinets have some scratches and the biggest ding is visible in the last photo. Offered AS IS. Here are my Monitor Audio Monitor One speakers which I have owned for 15 years. I am the 2nd owner and they have been a main feature of my living room hi-fi for all that time. They are finished in a lovely rosewood veneer and are still in great condition. They are bi-wire/bi-amp capable, have matching serial numbers and are very nicely made. I also have the original bi-wire bridging links. There are a few things to point out, which I have taken photos of - There is a small mark on one edge of one speaker- One tweeter has a slight crease in it- Each speaker has been fitted with some small felt feet.- Each front grill is missing one of its clips - but they remain in place with no issues. As youd expect, they sound superb and with a good quality amplifier they really sound much bigger than their size would suggest. I dont have a box for these so they are for collection only from Guildford (GU2) where of course they can be heard working.
