Very nice condition 3240PE. This is the big one, they also made this in the 20W and 25W per channel both have plenty of power but this one has some extra juice. Original manual included. Cosmetically the face plate is very clean with very few blemishes. The exterior case has no dented corners, The top is showing some light corrosion, the back and sides are very clean. The plastic faceplate used in this era is prone to showing signs of use and paint loss so I would rate this much higher than most. Amp has been tested to be working. It has been in storage a long time. Turning the speaker selector and source selectors a few times back and forth was required to make good contact but they did then work as intended. I would suggest a fully cleaning of the pots would be in order. Keep in mine this is sold as shown, study the photos carefully before deciding to purchase. NAD 3240 PE Integrated Amplifier Tested & Inspected IMPORTANT! You will need to jump out the pre out to the main in with a pair of plain RCA cables if you are not using an external encoder device such as noise reduction, or expanders. This is normal. There are usually factory metal jumper rods in place here in the center of the RCA plugs. You can also fabricate your own pair of rods, but RCA cables will work just fine. You will not get any input sound if you do not do this. This unit is in great cosmetic shape and has been fully tested on all features. The pot controls are very quiet and there is no static. This was tested on a set of vintage Celestion Dittons and was able to sustain output power without bad distortion though a series of vigorous tone generated tests and speaker output levels with proper meter testing with and without speakers. This will be securely packed for shipping. WARNING! Do not buy delicate unserviced electronics anywhere else There is a trend going on with sellers who sell vintage audio/video equipment. Most are not serviced or inspected properly or just simply copy and lie what other sellers do just to make the sale. They may also sell items well below value for this same reason or to support a bad habit. Please check my feedback for your confidence in this purchase. Avoid purchasing from sellers with lazy descriptions and who are probably inexperienced who are just listing item as they found them from the trash, thrift shop, flea market, yard sale, basement, attic, etc simply because they work as they found it with no servicing done. This includes long term testing, and other necessary servicing before and after sale inspection right before packing. An audio or video component may only work shortly when it arrives because they did not put in the important details in the description and it probably wasnt serviced which is prone to failure such as a good percentage of them do after a short use. This could possibly damage and destroy your precious media at any point if a mechanical failure happens. The average life of rubber parts in tape decks (belts/idlers) is 15 years r less and then they weaken and turn to goo. Most decks sold are older than that. This is a costly fix and would waste your time when you could have it now and not have to worry. Dust and shelf life may deteriorate and deform parts over a short period of time just sitting. Thats why all of my items are fully re-checked right before shipping from awakening after a long shelf life waiting for a sale. Most do not do any of this nor do they know how. I have been constantly servicing home audio and video equipment for 32 years. Please check my feedback for you confidence in this purchase.
