The ugly... not pretty but functional and fantastic sounding. Originally built for self where looks not important and why installed 20k alps blue potentiometer at input for gain matching. Had asked Rod about changing feedback to reduce gain but was recommended to just trim input signal for level matching, since many amps i use are under 20db gain makes easier to interchange amps at home on a whim. Gain of amp circuit is about 27db. Solid 150wpc into 8 ohms, 58 volt rails to estimate that power rating. Will double down to about 250-300wpc into 4ohm loads. Sonics, laid back yet very accurate, never shrill. The premium lateral mosfets used in this amp (and firstwatt F7s and others) exhibit great bass control and very low distortion. I just have too many amps laying around and trying to ween self away from the audiophile disease for a while, clear some stuff out.
