Pioneer PL-50 Stereo Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. It is fitted with a Shure R47XT Cartridge in need of a new stylus. The original owner discarded the dust cover since it did not comfortably fit into his wall unit. The only testing I could perform is power up and the spinning of the platter on both speeds. There is no stylus, so sound quality could not be tested. There are some small chips in the wood grain veneer on the bottom edges of the base. There are a few small dots on the plinth. The up and down positions on the start lever do not seem to raise or lower the tone arm so the cuing needs attention. The Pioneer emblem is missing from the front of the wood base. As previously stated, the only operation I can confirm with this unit is that the platter spins at both speeds. Due to my inability to test, and the above-mentioned flaws this turntable is offered for Repair, Parts or Restoration. Pioneer PL-500 Vintage Record Player for Parts.

Pioneer PL-50A Turntable Record Player. Turns on but does not have a belt. Has cracks that were repaired and one crack that was not repaired. It opens smoothly and looks nice overall. I took a bunch of photos. This is my iPad so the camera isn’t as nice so if you need more photos I’ll have a phone next two days. Any questions ask. It is for sale as is but powers on makes noise. Belt is not there I didn’t open it up any further. Any questions please ask Japanese pioneer PL-50A less common record player.

Pioneer PL-50 Stereo Turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. It is fitted with a Shure R47XT Cartridge in need of a new stylus. The original owner discarded the dust cover since it did not comfortably fit into his wall unit. The only testing I could perform is power up and the spinning of the platter on both speeds. There is no stylus, so sound quality could not be tested. There are some small chips in the wood grain veneer on the bottom edges of the base. There are a few small dots on the plinth. The up and down positions on the start lever do not seem to raise or lower the tone arm so the cuing needs attention. The Pioneer emblem is missing from the front of the wood base. As previously stated, the only operation I can confirm with this unit is that the platter spins at both speeds. Due to my inability to test, and the above-mentioned flaws this turntable is offered for Repair, Parts or Restoration.
