My personal set of QUAD 405-2 amplifier with QUAD 34 preamp. Truly remarkable pieces, specially when used together, the phono preamp sounds amazing, as well as the topology of the quad 405-2 amplifier. Both in used conditions but well taken care off, this system was in my office for almost 30 years. Therefore it has been well maintained, serviced and used in a non smoking space. Good luck !

This is not the standard Quad cable but a Monster cable upgrade but the DIN plugs on this cable are not as secure as the factory originals so make sure you push them in fully. The tape replay DIN socket has been pressed in too far but is still attached to the rear panel. In average cosmetic condition with rub marks on the volume knob and light rubs the case but no heavy scratches or dent to the case. The filter pot can only be used for this application, it will not work as a volume pot! IMPORTANT NOTEThis might get a little confusing but QUAD used different potentiometers over the years and you will need to match them up if you want your wheel rotation to register properly on the front plate.There is 2 can diameters 24mm and 28mm (both approx sizes)Both type cans can have long or shorter rotationSee the listing photo to match your filter wheels and choose the type you need.Message me after purchase to confirm. It’s easier to find your type by looking at the “slope” wheel, it’s graduations have a greater variation, the bass and treble wheels are not so easy to differentiate, if in doubt message me. For this reason I only sell them as a group of 3. Filter wheels not included in sale. From my personal collection of used tested and working parts, I have too many and not enough time to use them before my eyes give up close work! All parts have been taken from complete working units. There may be some slight damage to the wiring from the desoldering operation but nothing that cannot be easily repaired as you fit them.
