Sanyo MGR59 Personal Stereo Radio Cassette SERVICED. AM/FM Radio Vintage Working. Here we have a super cool Sanyo MGR59 AM/FM Radio Cassette in excellent working condition, having just been serviced. It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch roller and pulleys have been cleaned. The switches have been internally cleaned, and the whole unit deep cleaned and polished. The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. The headphone jack has been checked on the board and with headphones, and is solid - providing left & right channels reliably. The radio is clear and responsive, with both AM and FM working (subject to local coverage, of course). The FM Stereo light also works, showing that the FM separation circuitry is working properly. The battery terminals are shiny and bright, with no previous battery leakage. The belt clip is present, and the battery door locks in properly on this one - unlike most for sale. The overall condition is very nice, with only minor wear (please see photos) - it is a lovely example of this rare, overseas version. The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing, and a video taken for peace of mind. It can run off a 4.5 volt DC adaptor, or 3 ‘AA’ batteries (not supplied). The unit is in superb condition, with all original knobs, switches etc present and in working order. Please see the photos of the actual item for sale, as they are an important part of the description. It is a great sounding unit, having just been serviced - so it’s ready to go - either as a decoration, or a cool retro radio cassette for the home, studio, or on the move. A lovely, portable, vintage but functional item! In fact, you could hook it up to pretty much anything with an auxiliary input if you just wanted an occasional tape player/radio. Sanyo MGR59 Personal Stereo Radio Cassette SERVICED. AM/FM Radio Vintage Working. Here we have a super cool Sanyo MGR59 AM/FM Radio Cassette in very nice working condition, having just been serviced. It has just had a new belt fitted. Additionally, the head, capstan, pinch roller and pulleys have been cleaned. The motor speed had been checked, and all cassette functions perform correctly. The headphone jack has been checked on the board and with headphones, and is solid - providing left & right channels reliably. The radio is clear and responsive, with both AM and FM working (subject to local coverage, of course). The FM Stereo light also works, showing that the FM separation circuitry is working properly. The unit powers up easily on 3 AA batteries (not included). The belt clip is present, and has some colour-coded resin reinforcement on the outside. A common failure, but as can be seen from the interior, this is more of a preventative measure - the clip is very well secured. The battery door locks in properly on this one (may fail and have to be taped on, but this one snaps in properly to the chassis). The overall condition is very nice, with only minor wear (please see photos). The unit has been tested with mains power and batteries at the time of listing. Here I have up for grabs is a Sanyo personal stereo.It is used and does show signs of use.I’m selling as working but needs work, it full works with a mains power supply plugged in I used a multi power cable ( not included) and does work with batteries but goes on and off I think the battery connections need a clean.
