As well as the reel to reel tapes (you havent seen them? Have a look!) I am selling this machine. It does work, but could do with a service. I found that at 7.5 ips some reels were running slow. I did some light maintenance which cured the issue. But, as Im dealing with some fragile tapes soon, I cant risk having to re-do them all. The dust cover has some cracks and marks, but is good enough.If you just want to check out some reels, or even do some transferring, youll be fine with this. I did replace the belts not long back. NO empty reels will be supplied, and I wont send a power lead unless you request I do so (they are a bit of a hassle to pack). It will be well packed.

For Sale is this lovely 1970s Sony TC-377 with Serial Number: 76765. It is in excellent and fully working order having recently been serviced prior to sale. All the internal belts have been replaced, capstan motor cleaned and oiled, old grease has been removed from moving parts and re-lubricated, the record/play heads have been demagnetised and new felt break pads have been fitted. An age related fault with these machines is with the motor run capacitor which causes irregular playing speeds, so a brand-new motor run capacitor has been fitted ready for its new owner, so you can be sure that it rewinds, fast forwards and plays perfectly! Wow & Flutter has been checked for each speed, and is with the correct tolerances. Record and playback all sound outstanding!The outer casing and front fascia are both in excellent condition showing minimal signs of previous use with just the odd lights marks and scratches as expected with a used item of almost 50yrs old! An absolutely beautiful machine The original dust cover is also in very good condition with no deep scratches or cracks. The is a small scuff on the N of the Sony emblem (see photos) but it not highly visible without close inspection. The unit powers up as shown on last picture but the reels do not turn. I dont work on tape recorders but I would assume it is loose belts or broken belts, motor capacitor or ?.
