CONDITION DESCRIPTION: Fully Tested and Fully Functional. Excellent Cosmetic Condition, but please see pictures for exact cosmetic condition. Tape Playback functions work including Play, REW, FFD, Stop, Pause. Radio Function Works. Sound Output Works. The Locking Mechanism Door (Black in Color) that flips over the Buttons and Locks the Main door closed, sits on Two Hinges, One Hinge has a piece missing, so only half of it is intact. When the Locking Mechanism Door is used to close the Tape player it locks into place properly and stays secured, so you can play tapes and move around without issue, however when the door is opened, the metal bar that sits on the hinge can come off the hinge due to missing piece and the Locking Mechanism Door hangs halfway off the Player. The other hinge works but has a crack in it. So be mindful when opening and loading tapes, once loaded the Door stays Closed properly. See pictures for the Door Hinge issue. It features an AM/FM radio with analog tuning, and a matching set of lightweight yellow Sony MDR-W15 in-ear headphones. Cosmetically pretty good with light rubs, wear, scratches, color fading, etc. The original belt clip is present. New CORRECT belts (from FixYourAudio) installed. Cassette deck plays well and it sounds good. Playback head, pinch roller, and capstan have all been cleaned with isopropyl alcohol. All buttons seem to work and radio works well, too! The battery door cover is present and the battery compartment is clean. Headphones work well, with light use and age wear. When play button is pushed it stays in the play position and cannot, without much difficulty, be turned off. The fast forward, rewind and stop buttons are unresponsive. Sony Sports Walkman WM-F45Purchased by myself in the States during mid 80s.Fully tested, in perfect working order( Both Tape deck and the radio).Nice clean battery compartment.Can be powered by mains adaptor(not supplied).I played an old mix tape in it and it sounded wonderful.The only two faults I can find are the headphone jack bung and the little black tape thing to help pull the batteries out are missing.Overall the Sports Walkman is in excellent cosmetic condition (see pics).To be fair, these things were built like tanks!
