Pair SPENDOR England LS3/5A 11 ohm BBC MONITORS SPEAKERS consecutive serial #s XLNT! Offered for purchase is this nice pair of genuine made in England Spendor model LS3/5A BBC monitor loudspeakers with black cabinets. I believe these are the 11 ohm versions based on the serial numbers: 010124 and 010125. Dimensions of each are 7-1/2 wide x 6-3/8 deep x 12 tall, and each weighs just over 10 lbs. I have only tested these by listening to them...they sound great and all drivers are working. They do have minor edge and corner wear to the black finish on the wood cabinets. One is missing its front grill badge. The grills are securely attached but some of the velcro strips will have to be stapled back on (see photos.) A nice addition to any sound system or collection... Shipping will be via USPS or Fedex Ground. International buyers are responsible for all customs fees and V.A.T.s. Diese Monitore werden ineinigen Studios immer noch, wenn vorhanden, als Referenzmonitoreeingesetzt. Zu den Teilen:Grundsätzlich sind die beiden Unverbastelt, im absoluten Original Zustand.Optisch sehr gepflegt, das Furnier ist tadellos, keine Kratzer,Abschürfungen, Macken bis auf die eine kleine Stelle siehe Fotos.Die Abdeckung hat den Zahn der Zeit nicht überlebt.Habe ich mal neu Bespannen lassen incl dem original Spendor Logo.Sieht sehr schick und stimmig aus!Technisch ohne Mängel, die Sicken des Tief/Mitteltöners könnten mal neu gemacht worden sein? Auf jeden Fall sind diese in sehr gutem Zustand.Die Audax Hochtöner ohne flüssige Bedämpfung klingen super, Eine Kalotte ist im unterem Bereich der Sicke etwas eingedrückt.Siehe Foto! Ich habe es mit Absicht unterlassen, hier zu versuchendas Gewebe wieder heraus zu ziehen, Mich hat es nicht gestört.Ich bezweifle stark, dass es klanglich Relevant ist.Wer andere Meinung ist, kann sich auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt Ersatz besorgen.Helmut Püllmanns in Köln, der Spendor Spezialist hat vermutlich auch Ersatz am Lager, ich würde es trotzdem lassen. Mit dazu gebe ich noch zwei hochwertige LS Kabel je 2mEine Seite XLR in Studioqualität, Eine Seite Kabelschuhe. Original pair of Spendor BC1 speakers , These are made to the bbc design and have consecutive serial numbers , There are some marks/stains to the cabinets which is the only fault i can find with this fantastic sounding pair of speakers , This is a collection only sale , when you arrive , I can connect the speakers up to show them working , I have sent speakers with a courier before and they got damaged in transit , so have learnt my lesson on that one ,They measure approximately 25 inches tall 11 3/4 inches both deep and wide .The serial numbers are 20888 and 20889, I am also selling a pair of Spendor sp1 speakers on another listing.Any questions please ask

I have owned these units, (Serial Nos 3177 & 3178) for many years and I have used them with Quad and Marantz amplifiers. They are in very good condition apart from a blemish on the top of one of them. They were recently used, listening to a variety of music and voice and sounded as sweet as ever. No wonder the BBC had a hand in their design. I feel Collection is the only safe way to ship these because of weight and size.
