Die Tannoy Gold LSU/HF/III/LZ8 Lautsprecher sind natrlich gebraucht aber in einem sehr gutem Zustand. Mit den original Weichenbauteilen und den typischen Klangreglern! Eine der Abdeckkappen ist wohl gebrochen gewesen, aber wieder geklebt. Das Furnier hat ein paar Schrammen und Kratzer, aber die Lautsprecher sind auch ber 50 Jahre alt. Ich habe mich satt gehrt und jetzt muss mal wieder etwas Anderes her. Die Lautsprecher sind sehr pflegeleicht und unkritisch. Sie kommen mit allen mglichen Verstrkern zurecht. Bei mir liefen sie mit einem kleinem 12 Volt Schaltverstrker, mit einem Quad II Tubeamp, Quad 303 und Naim 5i. Klang alles ausgewogen und es sind nicht die allerbesten Amps. This Dual Concentric speaker is among the highest rated drive units of all time.I have carried out some basic tests. The speaker works and sounds excellent with great detail in the highs. Cosmetically the speaker is in great condition with the only issue on the frame, but this has no impact on the sound or structure of the speaker. Measured DCR of LF reads 13.9 Ohms.Measured DCR of HF reads 11.3 Ohms. The Tannoy Monitor Silver series was released in the early 1950s and produced until around 1958. Distinguishing physical features of this model are:a silver painted chassis in hammertone enamela lack of a dust-cover on the low-frequency cone Pepper-pot phase compensation channels that form the coupling from the HF diaphragm to the horn throat, which is machined into the magnet pole for the LF driver. Rare Tannoy LSU/HF/3LZG/8 Vintage Audiophile Speakers ? LZ Monitor Gold A stunning pair of these vintage gems. They are in full working order and sound beautiful. I would be keeping them but for the fact I need more space and less equipment! They were rescued from a house clearance (before it began, thankfully) at a prestigious property in Knightsbridge, and belonged to a true audiophile who kept an immaculate record collection. Fully tested using a Naim Amp and Linn LP12. They work perfectly, but the switches at the back would ultimately benefit from a clean. It isnt necessary now, as it doesnt affect performance once the position has been fully selected, but when actually moving the selector switches there can be some crackles. Condition: These look near-perfect and are the best Ive seen. Excellent, near-immaculate condition for their age. Original unmolested speakers, crossovers and cabinets. Please see photos for full details. Some very small age-related marks, and a few tiny flecks of paint (on the bottom of one cabinet of one speaker - only noticeable on close inspection) that could be easily removed. However I have decided not to in case the new owner prefers to address that, or even deems it necessary. I have given the speakers a very light clean to remove dust, but they will look even better with a more detailed spruce up. Pair of 15 Inch Tannoy Lancasters Boxed and Beautiful Containing classic Monitor Gold (LSU/HF/15/8) dual concentric drivers, it’s unlikely you’ll ever see another pair of these wonderful loudspeakers in this beautiful condition AND in their original Tannoy shipping cartons. Physical condition is as good as any we’ve seen (see close-up pictures). One very feint watermark on the top of each enclosure. The grille cloths are perfect, with no sagging, snags or splits, the woodwork is excellent, as are the Tannoy lightning badges. The rear panels were removed today for the first time since the day they were born. You can see that the serial numbers on each driver match the serial numbers stamped into the rear of the cabinets and written on the paper labels. It goes without saying that we have tested these and they sound exactly as they should - absolutely stunning with all types of music. For sale is single rare Tannoy 15 Dual Concentric speaker LSU/HF/15/L & crossover. This one has the desirable Black Label, which indicates is was made inbetween the Black Tannoy and the traditional Silver Tannoy run. Cosmetically, the speaker has considerable wear. There are dents and scratches on the metal, as can be see in the photos, and the label on the crossover is peeling. The photos show its true condition. They are original and sold as seen. The cones and dust caps are intact, surrounds are in good condition. Cone excursion is fine and the spiders are in good condition. The frames are in good condition with a few signs of black paint (from enclosure baffle painting!). One crossover lead has a repair to the cable, other is OK. Overall, the condition is as expected for the age. All Pictures are of actual speakers. History: These speakers were bought new between 1969 -1970 andhave been stored unused for approximately the last 10 years. To my knowledgethey have only ever been driven by low power valve amps (Quad 11s). They will be packed in double skinned boxes.
