For sale a 6K8G (CV1944 equivalent) triode hexode frequency changer valve / vacuum tube by a US services manufacturer, fully tested and working. Thisone of the almost universal 1940s classic frequency changer designs, used in their millions in WWII era domestic and military radio sets as the front end / frequency changer stage. The triode forms the local oscillator and the hexode is the frequency mixer (changer), generating a constant frequency signal at the receivers chosen intermediate frequency. This particular example is lightly used and is in good clean condition for its age, with original markings present. It has recently been tested showing no faults and near 100% of nominal new emission on both sections on my Mullard High Speed Valve tester.
