This listing is for a fully-refurbished Realistic TM-1000 FM/AM tuner. The TM-1000 was produced until 1978 and retailed for $170. The TM-1000 was designed to complement the SA-1000 and SA-2000 integrated amps. It features a 4-gang tuning capacitor with a dual-gate MOSFET in the front-end, as well as “auto-magic” touch tuning. The IF section employs 3 ceramic filters. There is a signal strength meter that is backlit to display the “Auto-Magic” tuning function. The FM and AM sections are both quite sensitive and receive broadcasts correctly. The dial calibration is accurate within 0.2Mhz across the FM band. All controls, and switches have been cleaned. The cosmetics are excellent, with all front panel stenciling intact and distinct. All of the electrolytic capacitors, on every PC board, have been replaced. The dial lamps have been replaced with new incandescent lamps to preserve the original appearance. The stereo/mono indicator lamps in the dial pointer and “Auto-Magic” tuning meter lamps all function correctly. The walnut veneer cabinet is in good condition, but has an assortment of small chips.
