I found the manual online.  https://www.manualslib.com/manual/955547/Vpi-Industries-Hw-17.html?page=2#manual I am selling for a friend.  VPI IndustriesModel HW-17 serial 11622 It moves around in a circle when switch is flipped.  The vacuum comes on when the other switch is flipped.  Some things that I do see: The glass top has some minor scratches on it.  The part where it is connected needs super glued back together. See my picture pointing. It is still attached for about 65% and will stay open and close just fine. I saw one tiny edge crack on the glass. The foam is very brittle due to age. I saw you can buy replacement online.   I WOULD Totally prefer free pick up in Central Ohio Or near Coldwater Michigan if able but if not I will ship!  Please let me know what you may have questions about! 

VPI HW-17F Record Cleaner Never used - I opened this factory-sealed box for the first time after acquiring it with a record collection. In fact, Ive included pictures of the sealed box before I opened it, and pictures of what I saw inside. Includes original manuals, paperwork & packaging. You can see that it hasnt even been plugged in since it left the factory. I did plug i in, and can verify that it is functional. I dont wish to run any fluid through it however, so I cant guarantee any seals or gaskets. This like new example of now iconic VPI HW-17 was recently removed from a high end system where it was used an estimated 25 times… it is in remarkable condition as you can see in the photos. Everything works as it should- I have been a fan of VPI Tables, arms and cleaners for the past 25+ years and this model in particular has always stood head and shoulders over most cleaning systems… I see where there is an original Ad for sale on the HW-17 on eBay for $8.95 which I was considering ordering! This VPI HW-17 record cleaning machine has been a project that Ive been storing for more than a few years now. As you can see in the video, the pump, platter motor, and vacuum do appear to turn on when switched on though I have not tried to clean a record with this. I had planned on cleaning it up but its more of a project than I have room for right now. Included are new replacements (from VPI) of a 33 rpm wand and the housing that it sits in. You can see where the previous owner used some sort of sealant (its silver in color) around the inside corners of the unit. The base plate appears to be a homemade replacement as I believe the original is made of old particle board. A couple of the screws that hold the baseplate on are stripped. Cosmetically, this is in pretty nice condition (aside from the sealant). The exterior of the case has few marks and the clear acrylic dust cover is in excellent condition. If youre the type of person that doesnt mind fixing things, this could be a great deal for you. This is being sold as is and as shown. Please be willing to restore or, at least, repair this unit. This is not in plug and play condition. The fuse that is in there is only a 6.5 Amp fuse and the manual calls for a 10 Amp - Ive only switched each function on individually. Unit measures 22.25 x 15.5 x 7.75 and weighs 29 lbs. Ive packed countless pieces of rare and delicate audio and Im confident I can get this to you safely. Local pickup is always welcome.
